"It was early on Monday morning and I was sitting at my desk checking orders for delivery status, when the phone rang.  It was a new customer who was in desperate need of larger than ordinary corrugated boxes and a competitor's design had failed UPS approval.  Galaxy won some business from the customer because of our design solutions.  The customer had a large order pending, based upon delivery capabilities.  They needed the new packs as soon as possible and they had to meet UPS delivery requirements!  After the phone conversation we set things into motion."

Galaxy made a call to the Viking Paper Corporation, the Pack Pros’ manufacturer of corrugated sheets.  We gave them the dimensions and quantities of each component and they processed the order.  The raw materials were delivered the next morning to Galaxy and our sister plant Kodiak.  When we received the material Galaxy ran the inserts through the slitter and Kodiak processed the big boxes. The order was delieverd via our own fleet of trucks that afternoon from both locations to the customer.  Next day delivery of current corrugated items is common in our industry.  Next day delivery of a new production design is unheard of.
